TNPL, a renowned bagasse based eco-friendly Paper Manufacturing Company having a turnover of About Rs.1000 Crore is looking for :


1. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Chemical) :  21 posts, Stipend : Rs.14400/- per month for 1st years, Rs.16200/- for second year


2. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Civil) :  03 posts, Stipend : Rs.14400/- per month for 1st years, Rs.16200/- for second year


3. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Environment) :  02 posts, Stipend : Rs.14400/- per month for 1st years, Rs.16200/- for second year


4. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Electrical) :  01 post, Stipend : Rs.14400/- per month for 1st years, Rs.16200/- for second year


5. Assistant Field Officer Trainee (Plantation) :  02 posts, Stipend : Rs.13200/- per month for 1st years, Rs.15000/- for second year


6. Assistant Field Officer Trainee (Forestry) :  02 posts, Stipend : Rs.13200/- per month for 1st years, Rs.15000/- for second year

General Instructions:


1. A self contained modern Township with 700 houses, Park, facilities for playing indoor, outdoor and field games and places for religious worship has been established.


2. Entire medical expenditure is borne by the company if any of the employee suffers from 7 ailments viz. Heart ailment, Cancer, Kidney Transplantation, Paralysis, Leprosy, Tuberculosis and Brain Surgery.


3. In respect of ailments not falling above, 50% of medical expenditure is met by the company for employees and their dependents Comprehensive Health check-up for persons above 40 years of age. Group Personal Accident Insurance cover.


4. Superannuation scheme for Executives. Interest subsidy upto 5% on Housing Loans. A Modern School providing educational facilities upto 12th standard.Community Hall.


5. The Company has proposed to replace the 3 old low pressure Boilers of 60 tph each installed during 1984 with a new energy efficient and environmental friendly Circulation Fluidised Bed Combustion (CFBC) Boiler of 125 tph steam generation capacity of 105 ata pressure rating.


6. In addition, the Company has proposed to replace the two old Turbo Generator sets witha new TG set of 41 MW capacity to augment the in-house power generation for meeting the additional power requirement.


7. The total capital outlay is Rs 135 crore. The order for main plant and machinery has been placed and civil works are in progress. The project is targeted to be completed by June  2012.


8. While the company continues to use PCC, trials were conducted for increasing the ash content in the pape.  Towards this, a combination of GCC and PCC was tried out, to improve the surface properties of paper in an economical way.


9. As the results are found encouraging the company has been using GCC, which is currently being purchased in powder form.  Considering the huge quantity of GCC requirement the company has initiated action for establishing an on-site GCC plant, in the same lines of PCC plant.

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) was established by the Government of Tami Nadu during early eighties to produce Newsprint and Printing & Writing Paper using bagasse, a sugarcane residue, as primary raw material. The Company commenced production in the year 1984 with a initial capacity of 90,000 tonnes per annum (tpa).
